The hazardous plant giant hogweed grows in a number of places along the Tay and the Earn. It is particularly common near Cairnie Pier (NGR, NO196191). Giant hogweed is a tall plant with white flowers (a little like cow parsley). Contact with giant hogweed can cause blistering and scarring to human and animal skin.
